Chess Competition at ASU

In late Jan. 2018, the Open Chess Competition for Students was held.
About 30 participants from not just ASU, but also Astrakhan State Technical University, Astrakhan State Medical University, and the Caspian Institute of Sea & River Transport took part in the event. A rep of Saint Petersburg Mining University was our distinguished guest.
As a result of the contest, personal and team winners were determined. In the personal category, the 1st and the 2nd places were won by people of Astrakhan State University, while the 3rd place was gained by a rep of Astrakhan State Medical University. As for the team category, the 1st place was won by ASU, the 2nd place – by Astrakhan State Technical University, and the 3rd place – by the Caspian Institute of Sea & River Transport.
