Professors, administrative staff members and students of Astrakhan State University gave master classes and workshops for schoolchildren within the framework of the 3rd youth forum of the Enotaevsky district “If Not Us, Who?”, timed to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of Education in Astrakhan region.

The forum educational platforms where divided into three tracks — “School of Patriots”, “School of Projects” and “School of Leaders”.

Participants of the “School of Patriots” attended a lecture “75th Anniversary of the Great Victory. History of Village — History of Heroes», delivered by Associate Professor of the Department of Russia’s History Oleg Likholet.

In the “School of Projects”, members of the ASU Faculty of Social Communications Aleksandr Rogov and Dmitry Chernichkin gave a lesson “My First Grant”.

The programme of the “School of Projects” also included a lesson on LEGO design: the participants constructed simple robots and watched how they function in practice, thus getting to know the fundamentals of robotic engineering.

The “School of Leaders” was the most mass-scale section of the forum. Young residents of the Enotaevsky district could attend workshops on teambuilding, self-presentation and communication skills.

ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov also took part in the work of the practical sections. Together with Head of the Enotaevsky District Sergey Levshin, the Rector told the forum participants how to develop a leader in oneself, and talked to Astrakhan teachers within the educational seminar “Development of Youth Self-Governance in Schools”.
