Recruitment of students to participate in the All-Russian mentoring educational project is announced. Young people from 18 to 30 years old from all regions of the country, including new territories, are invited.

Classes will be held in a hybrid format: face-to-face and online. In 2023, regional schools will operate in all federal districts of Russia. Classes are free of charge. A competitive selection process is envisaged.

The regions where in-person classes will be held will be announced after the enrolment of students. Successful applicants from other locations will be able to join one of the online groups.

"Dare, everyone has a chance to become our trainee," said Margarita Lyange, the project's leader and president of the Guild of Interethnic Journalism.

In order to take part in the competition, it is necessary to send a motivation letter to astr-gildiya@mail.ru by 15 September, as well as to pass an interview - face-to-face or online. A desirable prerequisite is education in a specialised university (specialities in journalism, ethnology, cultural studies and related fields) and journalistic or blogging experience.

The programme consists of two modules: regional and federal. Within the framework of the regional module, students, under the guidance of experienced mentors - professional journalists, will receive basic knowledge about interethnic journalism as a branch, the foundations of state national policy, and will learn how to work with interethnic topics in various journalistic formats. The federal module includes lectures by the country's leading experts, an ethno-expedition, a hackathon and creative labs.

The best students who manage to prove themselves, including in social networks, during the regional module will be admitted to the federal full-time module. The in-person module will take place in early December in Moscow.

At the end of each stage a certificate will be issued. The classes will run from September to December 2023.

The project is organised by the Federal Agency for Nationalities and the Guild of Interethnic Journalism with the support of the Presidential Council on Interethnic Relations and the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
