ASU Rector Sends His Greetings on University Teacher Day

Dear colleagues! Please accept my sincere and warmest greetings on your professional holiday.

Higher education teachers have an important mission and special tasks. These are universities, academies and institutes that ensure professional development of future specialists. This year, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov signed an order establishing University Teacher Day, which will be celebrated in the country every year on November, 19.

All the achievements of the teachers are reflected in the progress of their students like in a drop of water. I can say with confidence that Astrakhan State University has something to be proud of: our students have repeatedly proved and keep proving their high competence, winning numerous professional olympiads and competitions, and having completed their studies, they get employed in key positions in leading companies and enterprises in Russia and the world.

In the year of the ASU 90th anniversary, I would especially like to note and thank those who stood at the origins of the formation of the university as one of the best educational institutions of Astrakhan Region — veterans of pedagogical work and honorary professors. Thank you for the fact that your experience and knowledge foster today’s achievements of the university.
