ASU Focuses on Training Specialists for Particular Industrial Needs
The university has hosted a meeting on the use of import-substituting products and technologies in the interests of Astrakhan Region. The meeting involved representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Natural Resources and the business community of the region.
First Vice-Rector — Vice-Rector for Strategic Development of ASU Elina Polyanskaya presented detailed information on how the State support of Russian organizations engaged in R&D is being organized now. This includes the reduction in the income tax base and subsidies for financial support for the costs of R&D in the sphere of modern technologies. Thus, the development and implementation of import-substituting technologies and products can bring undoubted benefits to enterprises.
Scientists from Astrakhan State University told the guests about the possible prospects for cooperation between the university and industry in terms of introducing import-substituting technologies, projects and industries.
Representatives of the ASU recorded the proposals received from the business community in order to work with each of them substantively.
Ilya Volynsky, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Natural Resources of Astrakhan Region, supported the initiatives put forward by Astrakhan State University and promised to support the announced programmes.
