Humanitarian Aid from Astrakhan State University Arrives in the LNR

ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov has handed study guides and fiction books collected by our volunteers to a new leisure children’s center in Luhansk which appeared at the Church of the Ascension of Christ.

Head of the Luhansk People’s Republic Leonid Pasechnik, Deputy Chair of the LNR Government Anna Todorova, Deputy Chair of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Anna Kuznetsova, First Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, coordinator from the State Duma in the LNR, member of the ASU Board of Overseers Viktor Vodolatsky, Rector of the Moscow State University of Technology and Management named after K. G. Razumovsky (First Cossack University) Sergey Chebotarev and Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov took part in the official opening of the center and the prayer service.

According to the ASU rector, the university will continue to collect study guides and fiction books as humanitarian aid for children.

Along with the participation in the charity event, the delegation of Astrakhan State University visited a partner university — Lugansk State University named after Vladimir Dahl.
