ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov Sends His Greetings on Russia Day

Dear students, dear colleagues and partners of Astrakhan State University! Today we celebrate a wonderful holiday — Russia Day, and I’m sending you my sincere greetings on this significant date.

Though Russia is a young state, the Russian land has the deepest historical roots. Our country is a great power and a reliable fortress that gives us the strength for achievements and faith in a just future. This holiday is a symbol of our inseparable connection with the Fatherland, it prompts reflection on the present and future of the country, and symbolizes the continuity of generations and the unity of Russians.

Our citizens have had many hard times. At the same time, however, we’ve always been together, proud of the place where we grew up, and defended it, because the soul and heart are filled with the brightest feelings only in our native lands.

The greatness and power of the Russian Federation are undeniable, they draw awe and respect. So, let’s keep building the future of Russia with dignity, and teach this to future generations.

I wish all the citizens of our outstanding country the unity of spirit. May Russia prosper, improve and grow even more beautiful. Happy Russia Day!
