Astrakhan State University Signs Agreements with Universities of Uzbekistan

The signing ceremonies were held in Samarkand as part of the 3rd Russian-Uzbek Educational Forum. The rector of ASU signed cooperation agreements with the Tashkent State University of Economics and the Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Recall that right now Uzbekistan is hosting the forum Integration of Education, Production and Science: A Driver of Academic Efficiency, attended by Konstantin Markelov, among the others.

The purpose of the agreements of ASU with TSUE and NamETI is to establish, expand, develop and strengthen ties between the universities applying various forms of cooperation.

The parties also established areas of cooperation in the field of education and science. Thus, the universities will conduct an academic exchange of scientific and teaching staff, students and Ph.D. candidates, conduct joint research and development activities in relevant areas, exchange scientific information and provide access to research centers and research laboratories. In addition, universities agreed to organize and hold symposiums, seminars, scientific and practical conferences, round tables, teleconferences, joint publication of articles, reports and other scientific papers in periodicals, organize advanced training and retraining programs for teaching staff, consult and oppose theses of Ph.D. candidates and applicants for scientific degrees.
