???????ASU Discusses Issues of Integrated Security of Caspian Macroregion

Astrakhan Tatishchev State University has held an international research and applied conference in a mixed format. It served as a communicative platform to exchange the views and discuss topical issues of the integrated security of the Caspian Sea region.

 

The conference was organized by the ASU Institute for Southern Russia and Caspian Region Studies together with the Faculty of Social Communications and the Center for Strategic Studies of Eurasia. It involved scientists from universities of Astrakhan, other Russian cities and of foreign partner universities, Ph.D. candidates, MA and BA students. The conference was also attended by a delegation from the Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after M. Tugan-Baranovsky.

The organizer of the conference, Director of the Institute for Southern Russia and Caspian Region Studies, Doctor of Sciences in Philosophy Anna Romanova noted that the meeting was held as a friendly and constructive dialogue. The participants exchanged their views, determined further steps in the development of scientific cooperation not only between the universities of the Southern Federal District, but also between departmental institutions of Astrakhan Region.

In addition, a meeting of the Caspian Expert Club was also held. Experts from Moscow, the North Caucasus Federal District, the Southern Federal District and Kazakhstan were invited to the event.
