Schoolchildren Were Told about the Work of Scientific Laboratories of Astrakhan State University
Astra Nasikhanova, an Associate Professor of the Department of English and Technical Translation, and Aleksey Rybakov, the Acting Director of the Institute of Physics and Mathematics, conducted a tour of ASU for 8-th grade schoolchildren of Lyceum No. 1.
Choosing a future profession is a responsible step in the life of every person, requiring serious preparation and knowledge. Astrakhan State University attaches great importance to career guidance aimed at attracting applicants. This time, the ASU Department of English Language and Technical Translation and the Institute of Physics and Mathematics organized an excursion for schoolchildren who have yet to decide on their future profession.
Aleksey Rybakov told the children about the unmanned aerial vehicles that scientists and students assemble, and explained what they are used for. The scientist also told them about solar panels and studies on solar energy generation, carried out by students as part of the program for the development of alternative energy sources. In addition, the children took a look at a 3D printer and learned about the principles of its operation.
