Konstantin Markelov Makes a Presentation at Research and Applied Conference in Yerevan

The program of the event, which takes place on November 23-26, includes expert discussions, a youth session, presentations of projects and research. The head of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University spoke at the conference and shared the experience of scientific and educational cooperation between ASU and the CSTO member countries.

The conference Current Issues of Eurasian Integration in the Social and Humanitarian Sphere is one of the most important and landmark events for the international Eurasian community in the context of strengthening academic cooperation.

Starting his speech, ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov noted that the regional international organization CSTO plays an important role in the development of Eurasian integration in the social and humanitarian sphere. Currently, the main vector of attention in the framework of the international activities of Astrakhan State University is directed to the implementation of educational programs together with partners of the CIS countries, including the CSTO states. The university cooperates with organizations in various areas of educational and scientific activities, and also takes part in projects of large international associations.

The positive experience of the work of Astrakhan State University in the Caspian macroregion was noted by colleagues from the Center for Post-Soviet Studies at IMEMO RAS, as well as the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. An accord has already been reached on signing an agreement with the institute in order to develop cooperation in the field of joint scientific projects.
