Volunteers Exchange Experience

An online conference of university volunteering centers has been held at ASU today. Volunteers from five Russian regions have shared their experience.

The range of participants has included young people from five Russian cities – Astrakhan, Moscow, Ryazan, Ivanovo, and Barnaul. Our city has been represented by the New Step Center (Astrakhan State University), Plus One (Astrakhan State Technical University), Helping Hand (Astrakhan Institute of Construction & Engineering), EKA Green Movement (ASU), and by the Regional Branch of the Russian Union of Youth.

The event has concerned issues of social practical training, formation of communicative competences, the ecological aspect of volunteering activities, etc. The Conference has been arranged by the New Step Volunteering Center thanks to the grant won in the 7th Regional Contest of Social Projects of Astrakhan Region “It Is WE Who Create Tomorrow” organized by the Astrakhan Fund of Local Community.
