Delegation from ASU Visits South Korea
A delegation of Astrakhan State University has visited Dongseo University located in the city of Busan, South Korea. Dr. Jekuk Chang, President of Dongseo University, has met Dr. Nikolay Khurchak, ASU’s Vice Rector for International Relations.
It has been agreed to promote the signed cooperation agreement, to exchange students between the two universities, and to arrange practical training for them. Reps of ASU has presented our University and told about its main educational programs. In the end, Dr. Chang has said that he is going to visit ASU personally next spring.
As for Seoul, our delegation has met there management of Chung-Ang University; it has been agreed to sign a memorandum to initiate exchange programs.
Participation in the exposition of Russian universities at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2014 has been another key goal of our people’s visit to South Korea. This Fair is backed by the World Intellectual Property Organization; it is a top event in the Asia-Pacific Region. It aims to promote international cooperation in the field of innovative development, to transfer advanced national and international technologies, and to provide a successful commercialization of intellectual property items at the world market.
The best inventions and innovations presented at the Fair are awarded with prizes, medals, and diplomas. As for developments by Astrakhan State University, they have been awarded with a golden and a bronze medal; they have also obtained special recognition by the Indian Innovators Association and by the Association of Polish Inventors & Rationalizers.
