ASU on ISLAND 10-22: Astrakhan State University Will Enhance Its Educational Process
A master class “Optimization of Educational Processes and Data-Based Prediction of Students’ Progress” was held within the second educational workshop “Island 10-22”. The experts dwelled on some ideas on practical application of e-learning mechanisms. The ASU representatives are eager to share their impressions from the meeting.
On July 15, Aleksandr Koshkarov, an associate professor of the ASU Department of Information Technologies, and Sergey Buzychkin, the Head of the Project Office for Digitalization & Information Policy, visited the laboratory of case studies on data-based management at university — the third laboratory of the faculty "Data-Based Management", functioning on the Island 10-22 at Scholtech.
The laboratory activities include practical work with successful cases of university data-based management and transition to a digital model of university. Today, they have held a master class where the participants examined a Skyeng model of university management, based on big data, with analytics and prediction of students’ progress, transition of separate university units to a common digital space. The master class was held by Skyeng experts Violetta Usanova and Daria Grits.
As the ASU representatives say, each participant worked with real cases and data of specific universities. At the laboratory classes, there will be a presentation of the digital university concept that is being formed throughout every master class and lecture.
