Astrakhan State University Discusses Current Issues of Chemical Research
On May 28, the Chemical Faculty held the 14th international scientific & applied conference “Fundamental and Applied Issues of Obtaining New Materials: Research, Innovation & Technology”. The event was held online on Leader-ID platform.
The conference is held annually and is aimed at extending the university’s cooperation with Russian and foreign partners in the sphere of fundamental and applied research, pedagogical innovations and technologies.
The event was organized by partner universities — Astrakhan State University, N.D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), Atyrau State University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov (Kazakhstan), Dagestan State University (Dagestan) and Kalmyk State University (Kalmykia).
Participants of the plenary session were welcomed by Dean of the ASU Chemical Faculty Aleksey Tyrkov, Head of the Department of Analytical & Physical Chemistry Lyudmila Dzhigola and Professor of Smolensk State University Elena Mirenkova.
The forum agenda included discussion of the issues of obtaining new materials and their physical and chemical properties, current issues of biological and medical chemistries, pharmachemistry, mathematical modeling and quantum chemistry, analytical and physical chemistries in analysis of real-life objects. The participants also considered some modern issues of chemical production in ecology and innovative processes in school and higher education.
