ASU Is Invited to Participate in Skolkovo AI Project Competition

The Skolkovo Foundation has launched an international programme of innovative projects “Global Challenge: Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development Goals”. The programme is aimed at encouraging the demand for solutions in the sphere of artificial intelligence, promotion of the SDGs in Russia and development of high-tech IT products export.

Participation is open for teams with AI projects that allow to solve one or several sustainable development goals efficiently. These are solutions that are aimed at poverty eradication, building on countries’ economic growth, improvement of education, healthcare, social protection and employment, as we as at the fight against the climate change and environmental protection.

Submit your application for the project competition on the website until August, 18.

Participating in the programme, startuppers will be able to generate deals with large businesses, introduce their developments and solve SDG objectives. Companies will get an access to Skolkovo Foundation services, including the investment consulting and technology assessment. It is also planned to facilitate the access to global markets.

The programme is held in several stages. Upon results of the first stage, which is to be completed on August 27, the jury will choose the winners for their inclusion into the Russian map of SDG AI projects. The next stages of the programme will be held from September to November and will include individual consultations with mentors, international online business missions, participation in the accelerating programme of project development and VUCA MBA educational programme. The jury will award the most outstanding case studies, while early-stage companies, who are just starting their commercialization, will receive 5 grants for participation in Tech Explorer, an accelerating programme of the Skolkovo Foundation IT cluster.
