Astrakhan State University Will Build Two Dormitories for 900 students

The Main Directorate of RF State Expert Review has examined the project documentation and results of engineering investigations on construction of two ASU dormitories in Astrakhan. A positive opinion was issued upon results of the state expert review.

Two separate nine-storied dormitories, connected with a heated passage on the second floor, are going to be built for ASU students that come from other cities or countries.

The project solutions, approved by the Main Directorate of RF State Expert Review, imply arrangement of block-type living spaces with two rooms, each of them is meant for two students. Each block will also have an entrance lobby, built-in kitchen, bathroom and toilet. There’ll be a laundry room, drying and ironing facilities, a tutor’s room and technical areas on each floor. The second and ninth floors will have rooms for leisure activity, while the first floor will be designed for special-need people, including wheelchair persons. The basement will be used for storing students’ personal property, there will also be heating facilities and a pump unit.

The construction of two dormitories of Astrakhan State University is going to last 30 months. The project documentation was prepared by DAR/VODGEO project firm.
