ASU Ph.D. Candidate Shares Her Experience of Double-Degree Studies

Sabina Velikaya is studying at two universities at the same time — Astrakhan State University and Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

A thesis, being prepared by the Ph.D. candidate, is supervised by Professor of the Department of Political Science & International Relations Rafik Usmanov at ASU and by Professor Sara de Vido at Ca’ Foscari University.

According to the partnership agreement, the student passes most of the exams at Astrakhan State University and also masters necessary subjects, credited at Ca’ Foscari University.

It should be noted that 40 international students studied at ASU in double-degree programmes in 2019, and their number has increased to 70 people in 2020.

At the moment, ASU implements 21 Bachelor and Master’s double-degree programmes, six of them have been launched in 2020.
