ASU Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation Celebrates New Year
On December, 25, the ASU Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation celebrated the upcoming New Year and Christmas. The university administration, including ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov, come to greet the CITS staff members and students on the occasion, which has already become a good tradition.
This year, the guests could not only address their greetings to the celebration participations but also put them on a special board of wishes.
Good wishes and words of gratitude were said by Director of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation Uliana Savelieva, professor of CITS Olga Egorova, Vice Rector for Academic Activities Aleksandr Treshchev, Vice Rector for Research Activities Anna Fedotova, Vice Rector for Extracurricular & Social Activities Farida Rekesheva, Vice Rector for Innovations and Priority Projects Aleksey Titov, Head of the Project Office of International Cooperation and Development Irina Bocharnikova, and professors of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Rufina Izmaylova and Alla Kalendr.
Besides, the school prepared a special gift for the guests — a video greeting from Daniela Rizzi, the Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Moscow, a close academic and cultural partner of our university. The guests also enjoyed a video greeting on the Russian sign language, sent by teacher of the Russian sign language Antonina Shikhova, which was interpreted simultaneously by professor of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Dmitry Grygryshev, who had recently did a sign language course at Moscow State Linguistic University with trainers and MA students of CITS. By the way, it was his debut as a Russian sign language interpreter.
