Governor Igor Babushkin Gets Acquainted with Books of ASU Publishing House

The Platform Institute brought together editors of Astrakhan newspapers and employees of printing and publishing houses on the Russian Press Day. Eight representatives of the press industry were awarded by the chief of the region for excellent work and high professionalism.

As part of the event, the governor also attended an exhibition of print media materials of the regional publishing and printing houses. The exhibited items included postcards, calendars, notebooks and giftwrap, as well as distinguished scientific and regional-studies publications.

The Astrakhan University Publishing House presented a wide range of exhibited items, including study guides, scientific literature and reference materials, which reflect all the majors, offered by ASU. More than 4,000 printed items have been published since 1991. The authors are full professors, lecturers and scientists of our university and other HEIs of Russia.

The year of 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the ASU Publishing House; the university is going to upgrade the printing equipment, which will allow to improve the quality of products and extend the product line.

Besides, participants of the Russian Press Day celebration had a face-to-face talk with the governor, who answered the questions of representatives of the press industry.
