Senior Schoolchildren Compete in Information Technologies at ASU
Today, on January 18, Astrakhan State University is hosting the second round of the regional stage of the All-Russia Competition in Information Science and ICT for Schoolchildren. The first round took place on Saturday, January 16.
Participating schoolchildren of the 9-11th grades, studying in secondary educational institutions of the region, have the same tasks to solve, while results will be summed up separately for each grade. Two rounds of the competition include eight tasks to be completed by the entrants on the PCs. The maximum number of scores is 400. Each round lasts five hours.
To write a program, the competition participants use available programming languages, the basic one is C++. Along with it, the main programming languages are Pascal and Python. A program, written in one of the available programming languages, is considered a solution for the task.
Experience of participating in the competition offers greater opportunities. For example, participants of the All-Russia Competition in Information Science and ICT for Schoolchildren go on taking part in technological startups, creating new digital products, doing research and reaching new heights in teaching activities.
