Astrakhan State University Celebrates Russian Students Day Publicly

A cheerful mood was felt at the entrance of the main building of the university from the very morning. The holiday started with “Have Fun, Student 2021”, a traditional morning flashmob. The students and employees of the university received the greetings on the occasion from the ASU rector and distinguished guests of the celebration.

The chief of Astrakhan State University wished the students a cheerful celebration of Tatiana Day, especially in the light of the finished exams.

The students also received the greetings on the occasion from Deputy Chairman of the Astrakhan Government Dmitry Ovchinnikov, Deputy of the RF State Duma Leonid Ogul, Chairman of the ASU Board of Overseers Aleksandr Zhilkin and prominent Astrakhan athlete, Olympic gold medal handballer, Merited Master of Sport of the USSR Andrey Tyumentsev.

Konstantin Markelov and the distinguished guests sent special greetings to the female students celebrating their name day. The students named Tatiana, who have had educational, scientific, sporting or creative achievements, were given a bouquet of flowers.

Guests of the outdoor festival could taste fluffy pancakes, made by the ASU Training Center of Restaurant Service & Hospitality, and non-alcoholic gluehwein.

Flashmob Have Fun, Student 2021 continued with rousing dancing and singing items, interactive contests and quizzes, checking the participants’ knowledge in the university’s history, and commemorative prize drawing.
