ASU Signs Partnership Agreement with Grand Hotel Astrakhan Group

The document has been signed by Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov and Director-General of CONCEPT TOUR LLC Sergey Parkhomin.

Before signing the agreement, the guest was shown the scientific and educational facilities of ASU.

Upon results of the joint consultations, the parties outlined the following prospects for cooperation:

• ASU students’ traineeship at the hotel;
• master classes by employees of the Grand Hotel Astrakhan as part of the educational process at university;
• participation of the hotel representatives as experts in ASU initiative “Thesis in the Form of a Startup”;
• establishment of a base department of the Faculty of Economy & Management of Astrakhan State University at the Grand Hotel Astrakhan;
• professional retraining and advanced training of hotel employees in the programmes implemented by the ASU Department of Continuing Education.

In addition, Konstantin Markelov emphasized the opportunities for cooperation in the training and retraining of specialists with linguistic proficiency for the Grand Hotel. For this purpose, Astrakhan State University has a powerful resource — its Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation.

In his turn, Sergey Parkhomin noted how valuable for the company and pleasant personally for him would be the establishment of business ties with Astrakhan State University, which he graduated from. According to the head of CONCEPT TOUR LLC, the enterprise can provide the university with the necessary practical base.
