Educational Workshop of the School of Mentors Starts at ASU

Astrakhan State University has taken part in a competition for selection of regional platforms for holding seminars on mentoring practices in project activities for youth teams. The selection was carried out by the Academy of Mentors and the Skolkovo Foundation.

Astrakhan region is among 17 regions that won the competition. This significant event will help organize the training of specialists in the field of education with systematic and critical thinking and fast-learning skills, and contributing to the development of youth project activities. Participants of the programme learn to work in a team, carry their endeavours through, offer non-trivial new ideas and put them into life.

Educational project “Academy of Mentors” has been successfully implemented in Russian regions for the second year in a row. Its purpose is to teach a variety of techniques of moderation and communication in the process of working with young people. Particular attention is paid to the issues of resolving conflict situations that may arise in a group, as well as techniques for working with skeptics or passive individuals.

The Boiling Point Centre of Astrakhan State University, located at the address: 20a Tatishchev Street (main building of the university), is going to hold a training session of the School of Mentors in our region

on June 3-5 from 9:00 to 18:00 (local time).
