Results of Forum “Caspian Region 2021: Sustainable Development Trajectories” Have Been Summed Up

The resolution, which included the results of an active discussion at all sites of the forum, reflected the main conclusions reached by the participants of the scientific meetings, and the related prospects for the development of Astrakhan Region and its impact on the world economy and politics.

International Forum “Caspian Region 2021: Sustainable Development Trajectories” has become one of the authoritative international platforms to discuss the issues of strengthening Russia’s positions in the Caspian region, achieving national goals to accelerate economic growth and innovative development, exporting Russian education to the Caspian countries and retaining talented youth in the geostrategic region.

The forum participants are sure that building up scientific, educational, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the countries and peoples of the Caspian region will contribute to enhancing their technological potential in order to improve the quality of people’s lives, stable and harmonious development of the Caspian states and the world in general.

For example, one of the points of the resolution is: “The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Science Foundation are to form grant programmes for the comprehensive study of the Caspian region, including the creation of youth scientific laboratories under the guidance of young scientists. Members of the educational space are to form international and interuniversity collaborations in priority areas of social and economic development and to take an active part in the grant initiative to update digital educational modules with IPR TRANSFER content”.

The proposals put forward by the scientific and expert community on May 26-28, 2021 in Astrakhan shall form the basis of the agenda of the 2nd Caspian Economic Forum, which will be held in August 2021 in Moscow.
