ASU Agrarians Effectively Use Innovative Materials in Their Work
At the moment, representatives of the Faculty of Agribusiness, Technologies & Veterinary Medicine are conducting research under the agreement between Astrakhan State University and Hexa — Nonwovens LLC.
The agricultural scientists organize and conduct field studies that help study the effect of Agrotex covering (nonwoven) materials on phenological, physiological and biometric indicators of crops.
The university employees observe the effect of using a shading grid when growing fruit crops and early tomatoes at the Educational Experimental Facility “Nachalo”, and in production conditions — at S.M. Makhmudov’s agricultural and farming enterprise, located in Privolzhsky District of Astrakhan Region, using the example of early vegetable crops. The first significant research results can be evaluated as early as this autumn.
Pavel Kirilin, a representative of Hexa — Nonwovens LLC, who arrived in the region, monitored the activities of the university and noted the high quality of the research carried out by ASU, corresponding to the terms of the agreement. During the meeting, plans for further cooperation between the organizations were also outlined.
