ASU at Archipelago 2121: University Team Takes Part in Embedding Capsule of the Century

The time capsule has been embedded near the main building of the Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University within the framework of the Archipelago 2121 programme. Rector of ASU Konstantin Markelov also joined the solemn ceremony.

On the final day of the educational intensive, the organizers suggested that the participants preserved the memory of the event both in the form of an information message to future generations and as part of an environmental campaign to green the city.

The memory capsule, which was embedded in Veliky Novgorod, was placed in a stylized space rocket. According to the organizers of the intensive, in 100 years, the descendants, having opened the capsule, will find out how the new round of greatness and development of Russia began.

The team of Astrakhan State University, headed by ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov, took part in this solemn and memorable event. After that, the ASU representatives planted the Centennial Square together with their colleagues from other educational institutions.
