ASU Linguists Discuss Prospects of Language Development in Intercultural Space
The international scientific and applied conference brought together professors, Ph.D. candidates, BA and MA students from Afghanistan, Donetsk People’s Republic, Kazakhstan, China, USA, Russia and Turkmenistan.
Participants of scientific event «Language in Intercultural Space of the 21st century: Views, Research & Development Prospects» discussed a wide range of linguistic issues. This includes the national and cultural aspects of communication, topical issues of discursive linguistics, pragmalinguistics, textual criticism, Internet communication, intercultural communication and T&I studies, as well as linguodidactics. The organizers proposed different formats for discussing these issues — a plenary session, sections, a master class, a roundtable and a scientific seminar.
A great event for the ASU Faculty of Foreign Languages was an online lecture by Prof. Vladimir Karasik from the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language, dedicated to the values in linguistic consciousness and communicative practice.
