Konstantin Markelov: Consolidated Activities of Caspian Scientists Are Based on Network Partnership Ideas
Aktau hosts the Yessenov Forum, where rectors of universities in the Caspian countries discuss topical issues of cooperation in science and higher education. The 23rd General Assembly of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Region States has been held within the framework of the forum.
The speakers discussed issues of internationalization of education in the post-COVID period. The participants noted the relevance of the topic and greater interest in it on the part of rectors and presidents of Caspian universities. The speakers presented the experience of international cooperation between higher education institutions and ways to expand it.
Rector of Astrakhan State University and Chairman of the Commission for Science, Research and Technology within the Association of State Universities of the Caspian Region Countries Konstantin Markelov made a report on the work of the commission.
The assembly participants emphasized the importance of cooperation in modernization of higher education systems and invited the universities that are members of the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Region States to share their experience in further development of higher education spaces. Upon the discussion results, the meeting participants adopted a resolution based on the ideas of the development of the Caspian region and network partnership universities of the Caspian region.
An award ceremony was held at the end of the meeting, where the rector of Astrakhan State University was awarded a certificate of honor for his great contribution to the work of the Association of State Universities of the Caspian Region Countries and in the development of a single scientific and educational space and promotion of interuniversity cooperation, as well as on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the association.
