Konstantin Markelov Notes the Role of Universities in Strengthening Russia-Kazakhstan Space Cooperation

The rector of Astrakhan State University has taken part in the International Scientific and Applied Conference dedicated to Cosmonautics Day and the Day of Science Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meeting is part of a series of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Russia. Konstantin Markelov joined the event as a guest of honour at the invitation of Rector of the Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Telecommunication Systems Alibi Bayakhov.

Along with representatives of the Consulate-General of the Russian Federation in Uralsk, the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, universities of Russia and Kazakhstan, the rector of the ASU greeted all the participants and delivered a welcoming speech at the International Scientific and Applied Conference “Space as an Area for Peace and Cooperation: Role of the New Generation in Developing Space Civilization and Sustainable Multipolar World Order”, held as part of the implementation of the message “New Kazakhstan: the Path of Renewal and Modernization” of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the conference, the rector of ASU spoke about the strategic projects being implemented at the university and significant developments which are widely known both in Russia and abroad.
