ASU Members Get Trained at Sirius Educational Center

Representatives of the Directorate for Pre-University Training & Students Admission have got to the list of 50 luckies who were invited to participate in the advanced training programme “Teaching Physics in the Context of Modern Pedagogical Technologies: Experimental Approach”.

The shift, which took place from March 22 to 28, brought together physics teachers from different parts of the country — from Sakhalin to Kaliningrad. Alfiya Valisheva, Head of the Department for Work with Gifted Students and Pre-University Training, and Luiza Amantayeva, manager of the Unit of Information Analytical & Marketing Support of Admission Campaign, represented Astrakhan State University at the educational center in Sochi.

The programme participants learnt about the experience of the leading teachers of Russia and the methods of their work with gifted schoolchildren, with technologies, developments and efficient methods of work of specialists who train schoolchildren in the system of extended physics education, as well as with the best practices for identifying, accompanying and organizing work with gifted children in physics. In addition, the shift participants visited the Sirius Presidential Lyceum and got to know about the infrastructure of the Science and Art Park.

After their trip to the educational center, Alfiya Valisheva and Luiza Amantayeva spoke at a meeting of the Regional Educational and Methodological Association in the section of teachers of physics and astronomy, where they shared their impressions of the shift and held a small master class on solving Olympiad problems for calculating electrical circuits.
