ASU Is Ready to Help Regional Enterprises Develop Import-Substituting Technologies
This has been stated by Rector of the university Konstantin Markelov at today’s meeting of the Industrial Council under the governor of Astrakhan Region.
Discussing the challenges hindering the development of the regional industrial sector, the participants particularly noted the growing sanction pressure which resulted in an increase in the cost of raw materials and equipment, the suspension or refusal to supply equipment from manufacturers from countries that have supported the sanctions, problems with logistics, as well as difficulties in conducting commissioning due to the impossibility of foreign specialists’ arrival. In this regard, the costs of enterprises to conduct production activities have increased significantly, which requires prompt decisions to support them.
According to Konstantin Markelov, who took part in the meeting, Astrakhan State University is ready to assist regional enterprises in developing import-substituting technologies and improving production processes.
Astrakhan State University is ready to address the technological challenges faced by businesses, quickly respond and rebuild educational programmes to the needs of industrial partners and offer new algorithms for solutions for the implementation of regional strategic projects under current socioeconomic conditions.
The proposal of the ASU rector was supported by the regional authorities. Governor Igor Babushkin instructed the university to analyze information from industrial enterprises and, based on it, develop specific project proposals.
