ASU Consolidates Youth Policies of Neighboring Countries

Astrakhan State University has hosted another international online meeting on the issues of interaction between student and youth associations, as well as ways to create favorable conditions for the exchange of experience and development of bilateral project initiatives in the social, cultural and scientific fields.

ASU Vice-Rector for Discipline and Youth Policy Farida Rekesheva greeted all the participants of the teleconference, including Vice-President of the Association of International Students of Russia Issa Shaabo and President of the Association of International Students of Kazan Nusratillo Dzhuraev.

Delivering his welcoming speech, Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People’s Republic Mikhail Kushakov noted the comprehensive support of Russia in establishing active interuniversity cooperation.

The key points to discuss were the issues of interaction between student and youth associations, as well as ways and options for creating favorable conditions for the exchange of experience and development of bilateral project initiatives in the social, cultural and scientific fields.

Diana Raskurina, Chairperson of the United Council of Students of Astrakhan State University, spoke about the system of youth student associations of ASU and their work experience.

Jose Sambu-Fernando, Chairman of the Astrakhan branch of the Association of International Students, together with other representatives of the same branch, made a report on ASU projects aimed at social and cultural adaptation of foreign students.

A number of agreements were reached upon results of the teleconference, which entered the final resolution. In particular, the participants decided to carry out interuniversity and interdepartmental communication within the framework of the ethno-student platform “Dialogue of Cultures of the Caspian Countries”.
