Astrakhan State University Celebrates the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship

The event was organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Astrakhan regional branch of the public organization of small and medium-sized businesses OPORA RUSSIA. The meeting was moderated by Chair of the organization Natalia Bataeva.

Oleg Knyazev, Chairman of the Government of Astrakhan Region, addressed the meeting participants with a welcoming speech. First Vice-Rector — Vice-Rector for Strategic Development of ASU Elina Polyanskaya also greeted Astrakhan businesspeople on their professional holiday.

Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Ivan Maksimov noted the importance of communication between Astrakhan entrepreneurs and the university community. As the professor explained, it is important to be active and work on quality improvement together in order to achieve positive results.

Business experts discussed such issues as the lack and imperfection of laws regulating the activities of businesspeople and securing their rights, as well as the development of entrepreneurship in the tourism sector and crisis as an opportunity for improvement.
