A Team of ASU Journalism Students Completed Their Traineeship at Lotos TV & Radio Company
This state television and radio company admitted the biggest number of students for traineeship — a group of 14 future media specialists. It’s already possible to trace certain dynamics, since every year there are more and more people who want to undergo training in the company.
Employees of the Lotos TV & Radio Company thought over the training programme thoroughly, assigning each student to a specific department or workshop, as well as assigning coordinators from among the staff professionals.
The traineeship final task for the students was to develop their own interview, for which it was necessary to decide on a relevant and interesting topic, choose an interlocutor and prepare questions. Director of the radio broadcasting service Marina Li provided comprehensive technical and organizational support to the trainees. She gave the students professional advice, made the necessary adjustments, explained the structure and features of the radio interview.
During the traineeship, the girls discovered a lot of interesting and new things: they saw the structure of the radio broadcasting system from the inside, got acquainted with the equipment and even tried themselves as radio hosts.
