ASU Landing in Kalmykia: Networking and the “Caspian Territory”

The delegation of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University is taking part in the 24th General Assembly of the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Countries in Elista.

The large-scale international event is timed to the 2nd Caspian Economic Forum, which is taking place in Moscow these days. The 24th General Assembly of the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Countries was organized at the Kalmyk State University named after B. B. Gorodovikov and brought together a large number of participants from the Caspian states.

The programme of the assembly included, among other things, reports on the results of the work of the association, in particular of the Commission on Science, Research and Technology, supervised by Astrakhan State University.

A number of panel discussions were also held during the international meeting, with agreements being signed by universities of the Caspian countries.

Students also took an active part in the events of the General Assembly. Thus, Daniil Belyaev, a representative of the ASU Faculty of Geology and Geography, made a presentation on eco-volunteering at the panel discussion Caspian Volunteer Movement: Educational, Scientific and Cultural Integration Cases.
