ASU Holds a Competition for Young Professors

The Trade Union of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University initiated a competition involving representatives of various faculties and the ASU college.

The active participation of Zhurabek Rakhimov, a professor of Urgench State University in the competition allowed to assign an international status to it; he was on a working visit to the university as part of the delegation, getting acquainted with various areas of activity of the partner university.

Seventeen participants of the Trade Union’s event adequately coped with the competitive tests, having made a creative self-presentation to the jury and demonstrated the open mindedness, creative thinking, resourcefulness and ingenuity in a series of intellectual duels.

Based on the results of all stages of the competition, prizes were awarded to:

1st place — Violetta Predet, ASU College;

2nd place — Dmitry Grygryshev, Faculty of Foreign Languages;

3rd place - Ilya Mametiev, Faculty of History.

The winners were given special gifts from the Astrakhan regional organization of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education, and all the participants of the competition received memorable gifts from the ASU Trade Union.

Summing up the event results, Chair of the Trade Union Lyudmila Kasyanova expressed her hope that holding such competitions would become a wonderful university tradition.
