Astrakhan Schoolchildren Plunge into the World of Science Thanks to ASU
Students of 8-10 grades have taken part in lectures and master classes within the 6th Regional Festival of Student Science of Astrakhan Region which took place under the auspices of the Nauka 0+ All-Russian Festival.
Projects of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University won several awards in the competition. On the second day of the festival, the university organized popular science activities for schoolchildren.
The children flew a copter, watched chemical experiments, understood the methods of combating land desertification, tried their hand at fingerprinting, learned how to make injections, measure the age of fish and assembled aquariums, learned the technique of linocut and learned a lot about the properties of minerals and mineralized artifacts. In addition, they took a virtual trip to the excavation site near the Annunciation Monastery of Astrakhan.
The career guidance event continued with a tour of the university. All participants received prizes and gifts from the organizers of the SCIENCE 0+ All-Russian Festival.
The 7th Regional Festival of Student Science of Astrakhan Region will take place next year. To participate and win, young people and their supervisors have to start generating new ideas to create projects and conduct relevant research now.
