Rector Konstantin Markelov Sends His Greetings on Defender of the Fatherland Day to ASU Staff and Students

Dear veterans, employees and students of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University, dear friends! I am glad to send you my greetings on Defender of the Fatherland Day.

23 February is a particularly important day for our country. Today, a brave, honest, serious man, who is a true patriot of his country, becomes the prime example for young people. There are many people among us who can share their experience and wisdom with young minds. These are both the military, who are fighting for peaceful skies above our heads now, and our family – fathers, grandfathers, brothers. We honor them on this wonderful day.

I send my greetings to all the defenders of the Fatherland, who are on the borders protecting the Motherland today not only on the front lines, but also on the home front, and women are also among them. Everyone who is engaged in the fields of economy, culture and education, trains scientists, create advanced technologies in this difficult period. You are our support and pride. Stay strong not only physically, but also spiritually.

I wish you good health, confidence in yourself and your abilities, prosperity and success in life. Remember: you will always be sons not only for your mothers, but also for the Motherland.
