ASU Representative Talks about Work of Faculties at an Event in Azerbaijan

Astrakhan State University was represented by Marina Vedenkina, Candidate of Science in Pedagogy, at the 3rd International Scientific Conference «Higher Education in Regions: Reality and Prospects».

The conference was organized by the Gubino branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics, Law, Education, and Sport Marina Vedenkina made an online speech about the experience of interaction between teachers and students within the main Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs.

She also said that the Faculty of Education, Psychology, Physical Education and Sports trains future teachers, psychologists, actors, social workers, specialists in the field of hospitality — hotel business, tourism, etc.

The Faculty of Law trains future professionals in the field of civil, housing, criminal, family law and others. Legal education is a priority in the work of the faculty, the university and the whole region.

The Faculty of Economics and Management annually trains and graduates specialists in the field of regional and sectoral economy, management, national economy management. Students do the Bachelor’s degree courses with one and two training profiles and can continue their studies in the Master's program.

«All the faculties offer postgraduate programs. It should also be noted that students are involved in grant and project activities, which contributes to their mastery of professional competencies,» Marina Vedenkina added.
