International Friendship
On April 22-23, 2014, students of Astrakhan State University’s Department of World Economy & Management have taken part in a forum of ethnic cultural societies.
This event has been held at the Druzhba (Russian for “friendship”) tourism facility. Mr. Alexander Zhilkin, Governor of Astrakhan Region, has opened the Forum.
The Forum has included a number of events. Interethnic teambuilding “Ethnomix” has been one of the key points on its agenda; the participants could learn more about ethnic traditions of Russia’s peoples, which has contributed to their teamwork greatly.
Students of our Department of World Economy & Management have played an active role in the Forum. In particular, Aylar Gapurova, a 3rd-year-student, has represented the Turkmen cultural society; whereas our undergraduate Minela Babayan has been a rep of the Armenian society.
At the end of the entire event, all its participants have taken part in a flash mob by forming a long line and holding red, blue, and white (colors of the Russian flag) balloons in their hands so that altogether they made up the word “Peace”.
