Meeting New Talents

The event arranged by Astrakhan State University’s Department of Pedagogics, Social Work, & Physical Training has united over 40 graduates of Astrakhan Region’s high schools and colleges as a part of the campaign to admit future students to this Department. The jury has included Mr. Alexey Matveev (Stage Director of the Astrakhan Drama Theater), Dr. Galina Palatkina (Dean of the Department), Ms. Nina Konnova (Director of the Astrakhan Center of Child & Youth Creativity), and faculty staff of ASU’s Chair of Social Pedagogics.

The participants have demonstrated their talents in the following nominations: Artistic Word, Voice of Soul, Music Exercising, Varicolored Palette, and Movement Is Life. They were backed by their parents, friends, and students of ASU. The young performers have displayed a high level of their skills; each and every performance has been accompanied with a storm of applause.

During short breaks, our students showed their vocal skills; the jurors talked with each nominee about their preferences in their further self-realization.

One should remark that is was just the first part of the contest. Its second stage is an obligatory test in Literature to be held on November 10 at ASU. Names of the contest winners shall be declared on November 21 at the celebration of the Department of Pedagogics, Social Work, & Physical Training.
