On March 22, 2016, Professor Nariman Mirzaevich Alykov, D.Sc. in Chemistry, Full Professor, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, a member of the Scientific Council on Analytical Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an Honored University Lecturer of the Russian Federation, Head of the Chair of Analytical & Physical Chemistry of Astrakhan State University, breathed his last.
Professor Alykov worked at Astrakhan State University for over half a century; he established a research school in Analytical Chemistry that specializes in concentrating physiologically active substance. He chaired one of our dissertation councils, where numerous theses have been defended successfully.
Professor Nariman Alykov initiated research of properties of natural sorbents of silica clay, which makes it possible to execute chemical purification of drinking and sewage water in industrial scales.
For his outstanding research results and for their successful implementation at Astrakhan Region’s various enterprises, Professor Alykov was awarded with the Medal of the Order “For Merit to Astrakhan Region”.
Professor Alykov is well-known in Russia’s scientific community, as well as abroad; he is the author of over 500 research papers, inventions, and patents.
The distinguished scholar shall always stay in our hearts. Rest in peace, our dear Colleague…
