Our MSc Students Cover Erasmus+ Program in France

From January 13 to May 15, 2016, two students covering a master program in ICT at Astrakhan State University stayed in Nice to enhance their knowledge in this field.

Maria Parameeva and Nikolay Zaychenko specialize in Data Management; they covered an Erasmus+ program at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.

It took them 1.5 months to prepare for their four-month travel to France. They studied French intensely; they had to apply for a visa and finish their master theses. At first, it was uneasy for them to learn new information in Nice because of the language barrier, as all the lectures were delivered in French. Yet, thanks to their good knowledge of English technical terms, the process of grasping new material became much easier afterwards.

At the end of their training in France, they defended their project “Oracle’s Approach to Large-Volume Data” successfully. Besides their research and academic activities, they learnt much about the French culture and everyday life.
