Our Students Take Part in Youth Educational Forum

In late July 2016, the Terra Scientia on Klyazma River Russian Educational Youth Forum in the field of international relations took place.

The range of its participants included ten students of Astrakhan State University, five of which study at our Department of Social Communications. Ekaterina Chapkovskaya, an alumna of the Department, won a good opportunity to cover a training program at Lomonosov Moscow State University for her active participation in the Forum.

The participants met Mr. Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of Russia, who emphasized the increasing role of international, interethnic, and religious relations in any international crisis. He illustrated his main points with the current warfare in the Middle East, the development of terroristic groups, and the phenomenon of multiculturalism. The Minister’s speech was of real value for our future specialists in international relations.

Mr. Ilyas Umakhanov, Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of Russia, well-known representatives of Russian ethnic groups and religious confessions, and experts in international relations were distinguished guests at the Forum.

Our students gained valuable experience; they got bright impressions and made many friends from various cities of Russia.
