A Beautiful Mind by Our Future Psychologists
In late October 2016, instructors of the Insight Student Psychological Club of ASU delivered the interactive class “A Beautiful Mind” for members of the Foreign Students Association studying at our University.
The audience learnt much about mechanisms of memory, which (as it is well-known) are the base for all the psychic processes and thus are of major interest for Cognitive Psychology. The event participants also learnt that memory does not always help, but sometimes it lets us down at a most unsuitable moment. During the psychological dramatization “Remember or Not Remember?”, the young people analyzed how our brain “remembers” what has actually never happened. Learning the memory-training techniques, which are applied to train intelligence agents, was of special interest for the class participants.
This is what Shamil Ramaldanov, a participant of the interactive class, says: “I’m glad that our University held this event, as it helps us develop our thinking and memory. It’s not just interesting – it’s really informative. Besides, we could meet interesting people and keep in touch with them after this event. I wish such events became regular at our University”.
