Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Benin to Russia & CIS Becomes Honorary Professor of ASU

On October 31, 2016, the Academic Council of Astrakhan State University conferred the title of Honorary Professor of Astrakhan State University on Dr. Anisette Gabriel Kochofa, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Benin to Russia & CIS.

Dr. Kochofa used to be President of the Foreign Students Association in Russia. While heading this institution, he played a remarkable role in the development of relations between foreign students of Russian universities; he participated actively in the Caspian Forum of Foreign Students that our University hosted. He gave a number of speeches for our foreign and Russian students, sharing his experience with them and helping them overcome difficulties. Dr. Kochofa has played a large role in establishment of the Astrakhan Branch of the Foreign Students Association at ASU, which unites citizens of numerous countries.
