Web Conference in Power Engineering at ASU

On June 07, 2017, the International Web Conference “Power Engineering: Current State, Issues, Prospects” took place at Astrakhan State University.

The event was hosted by the Kyrgyz State Technical University after I. Razzakov (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan); it was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Power Engineering Faculty of this educational institution. The range of participants of the Conference included Russian and Kyrgyz researchers – not only from the hosting university, but also from Astrakhan State University (Astrakhan, Russia), Polzunov Altai State Technical University (Barnaul, Russia), and Novosibirsk State Technical University (Novosibirsk, Russia).

In his welcoming speech, Dr. Mirlan Chynybaev, Vice Rector for Research of Kyrgyz State Technical University, remarked that such events are of great value, since thanks to them its participants can share the gained experience and identify areas of their further joint activities.

There were the following sections on the Conference agenda: “Energy Safety, Energy Saving, and Energy Efficiency in Power Engineering”; “Administration of Power Engineering Systems, Quality of Energy, Provision of Reliability in Power Engineering”; “Heat Power Engineering, Nontraditional Energy Sources, and Ecology”; “Innovative Educational Technologies and Specialists Training Programs”; “Electromechanics and Electric Drive Control Systems”. The participants also discussed such topical issues as introduction of photoelectrical systems to provide power supply for farms in Astrakhan Region, selection of the optimal site to construct a solar power station in the Republic of Tajikistan, efficiency of application of mobile machinery in the agricultural sector, a mathematical model of an explicit-pole generator for a power minisystem, etc.

A collection of the participants’ papers will be published soon; it will be included into the Russian Science Citation Index.
