Students of ASU Ready to Contribute to Astrakhan Region’s Development
On the final day of the Festival of Scientific Socialization Projects, its participants presented their developments to Dr. Konstantin Markelov, Acting Rector of Astrakhan State University, and told him about the prospects of their innovations.
Many developments presented by our young inventors are not just implementable; they are also topical for Astrakhan Region – for example, application of drones and sensor systems in agriculture. Dr. Markelov remarked that this development might be useful for local farmers, with whom our University is planning to sign a number of cooperation agreements. Entrepreneurs might also be interested in our mixed fodder for carp. This project was developed by students of our Department of Agribusiness, Technologies, and Veterinary Medicine. It is especially valuable that the fodder was developed on the base of regional raw materials.
As for students of our Department of Architecture & Design, their works deserve presentation at large-scale cultural and tourism events. For example, ceramics made by our students may be presented as part of the summer project “Volga Palette” held in the city of Astrakhan throughout the entire summer on an annual basis.
Dr. Markelov was presented psychological tests, developments in Chemistry and Mechanics, pedagogical manuals, and new ideas in cooking. There was even a dragon – not a real, but a virtual one; it was developed by students of our Department of Mathematics & Information Technologies as part of an augmented reality project.
The same day, our University opened its doors for students of local secondary schools, who could learn our students’ projects and take part in games, tests, and master classes in a number of specializations.
This Festival has proved that our students are able to think globally and see distinct prospects and potential of their developments.
