ASU Talented Students Are Talented in Everything

At the Academic Council meeting, the best representatives of the youth community of Astrakhan State University were deservedly awarded for achievements in social life.

Firstly, the certificate of Grand Prix winner of the 5th Russian national award "Student of the Year 2018" of higher educational institutions was handed to Alina Kunyaeva. In November, Alina represented ASU at the prestigious competition and entered top three of Russian students. Other ASU students also won awards in different nominations, e.g. Aleksandr Lebedev received a certificate of participation in the nomination "Athlete of the Year" and Anna Konopleva — in the nomination "Group Leader of the Year".

However, ASU talented students are talented in everything, and some of them received several awards that day. For example, Anna Konopleva and Alina Alkhanova received letters of gratitude from the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science for social activism in ensuring public control at unified state exams (USE), while Alina Kuyaeva received a letter of gratitude from the Corps of USE Public Observers for invaluable contribution to successful monitoring of final state examination in educational programmes of general and vocational education in 2018.

Finally, Konstantin Markelov, the ASU Acting Rector, handed a medal from the RF President and a certificate of the 19th International Festival of Youth and Students of 2017, held in Sochi, to Akhmed Khalukhaev for his contribution to organization and holding of the festival, while the student folk group "Ethnosphere" received a special certificate of participation in the 7th international competition-festival of choreographic groups "Grace".

The meeting agenda also included elections of deans, heads of departments and professors, nomination to the degree of Associate Professor and adoption of the ASU budget for 2019.
